TIME CIRCUMAMBULATES (2024)

This was a project birthed from the SFPC workshop, Repatterning & Practice, taught by artists Hiba Ali and Amina Ross. At the heart of this room of BIPOC peers was the goal of making a 3D digital amulet for survival, by wayfinding—through spirituality, magic, and animism. This project unfolded on its own, led primarily by intuition and curiosity.

What happens when sleek digitality comes into dance with the physical body holding flesh, history, wounds? Digital spaces are often presented as conveniently removed and easy to digest. A body is not convenient—but it does seek light.
